Jenny Walters
Jenny grew up in Iowa and began riding at 4 years old. Throughout her younger years, Jenny was a member of Pony Club and participated in local shows. Later,
Jenny began riding American Saddlebreds, working diligently at the stable exercising horses, giving lessons and showing.
At 18, Jenny was introduced to the sport of polo and fell in love with the athleticism, grace and speed of the horses. She worked for various players in the Des Moines Polo Club during the summer months all throughout her college years. During the school year, Jenny attended the University of Wyoming where she obtained a degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences. Jenny was a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show team as well as the Livestock Judging team.
While in Wyoming, Jenny worked at the Snowy Range Ranch, which bred and
trained top cutting and reining horses. There, Jenny handled stallions, broodmares and young horses. She took part in all aspects of care from breeding to foaling to weaning. Jenny also worked during yearly cattle brandings at several ranches in the Laramie Valley vaccinating and branding calves.
After graduating from college, Jenny followed her passion for riding and
continued working as a polo groom across the country. She has worked for professional polo players as well as sponsors in Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida, Wyoming and Iowa.
Throughout it all, Jenny has encountered, and cared, for various types of animals from chickens to llamas to cattle and pigs. She has been called upon by friends, relatives and acquaintances to pet sit throughout her life. The most important thing to Jenny is her best friend Jimmy, a Doberman/Lab mix, who has been her traveling partner and companion for the past 7 years.
